About

Ella is a singer-songwriter and music producer from Calgary. She's a well-travelled artist who has returned from her time abroad with influences ranging from UK Garage to psychedelic rock. You may know her as the bass player from Hip Hip Thursday, or The Girl from That Song with UGLY.

She was born and raised in Calgary, the oil and gas capitol of Canada, which shaped her path as a climate advocate and organizer. She has a podcast called Is It A1? talking to other artists friends about the impacts of changing tech, and writes a Substack called Heat Tape: Notes on a Changing Alberta
